This November, the team will be heading out to conduct something a little different to our normal events.

 

On a previous visit, we were surprised by how much activity was going on in this small village pub and the spirits were only too happy to communicate.

 

During the early 1800’s, a farmhouse was previously situated on the land where the pub stands today.

 

Fast forward to 1881……. The Quarry man’s arms was a hive of activity. Initially built for the quarry workers to have a well-earned ale at the end of the day, the pub also became the medical emergency point for injured quarry men, where they could get some medical attention.

 

Finally, fast forward to modern day. The pub has since gone through two change of names, the first was to Tavern Y Uchaf, the second, as we know it today….Top House.

 

On our visit, we experienced 2 of our motion sensors being activated several times. We witnessed shadows, heard footsteps, a piece of kit was damaged, and a heavy item was moved, all this along with a few other things, so we can’t wait to go back. We had 2 names come through that matched the census we took with us, that of a lady and a young boy. There was also a gentleman that put himself forward as someone that worked the farm, these seemed to be the two main spirits that were happy to communicate with us, will they step forward and communicate with you? Theres only one way to find out.
