This grade two listed former pub is said to be one of the most haunted buildings in
the country. Built in 1145,it was originally owned by the priests of St Marys and used

to house the slaves and workers that constructed the church.

It has had many owners, but it was its last owner, John Humphries, that brought to
light what was really going on behind the closed doors of the Ancient Ram Inn.
The inn sits on the intersection of 2 ley lines that can be traced through the centre of
Stonehenge. It is the energy that travels through these ley lines that is said to be the
driving force behind the paranormal activity.

The inn is reported to have been built upon a pagan burial site. When Mr Humphries
took ownership of the inn, he found the skeletal remains of children, with evidence of
their death being a ritual sacrifice.

This building can put the most hardened of investigators on edge. With paranormal
activity ranging from shadows, to footsteps, full apparitions, EVPs that have told
people to “GET OUT” and poltergeist activity, this former inn really does have it all.
